Richie (pictured) is an amazing guy and one of our good friends at the Friday Night Supper Program. Richie has been our guest for well over ten years, always sitting with his friends at the same table and greeting our regular volunteers and staff as they arrive. He is an "everyday hero" according to the Boston Celtics basketball team. Richie has been a longtime ambassador for Best Buddies Massachusetts. After first experiencing the program as a participant in 2000, Richie began volunteering at Best Buddies events. Then in 2007 he joined the Best Buddies Board of Directors and developed an interest in fundraising. Incredibly, Richie has raised more than $25,000 since 2009 through his participation in the annual Best Buddies Challenge. Richie very powerfully demonstrates what people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are capable of. In 2017, Richie was honored at TD Garden as part of the Boston Celtics Heroes Among Us program. Please join us in congratulating our Richie for his heroic achievements!
