Bryan - Volunteer Spotlight

Bryan Wyka has been a volunteer since late 2016. He has done just about everything! He currently serves plated meals to guests at their tables. After moving back to Boston in 2015, Bryan started looking for volunteer opportunities to get more involved in the community. Through Boston Cares he eventually found himself at FNSP. "From the get-go, I could tell it was different than previous events I attended. I felt a sense of community that had been missing from others." Bryan remembers a time when FNSP volunteers in coordination with his now wife threw a little party in the back hall in honor of their engagement. "It was a great time and I really appreciated everyone coming together to celebrate." Bryan loves the "great outdoors." On an average day, there is a high probability that he is on his bike, either riding in town from one place to another or on a joy ride out of town. He also enjoys hiking, rock climbing and ultimate frisbee.
